ReReads ("we", "us", "our") operates the rereads.app website and mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our service.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile information provided through your login method (email, Google, Facebook, or Apple). To help buyers find local books, we collect the approximate location you provide (city, state, and ZIP). When you list books for sale, we store your book listings, cover photos, shelf settings, and transaction history. We do not collect payment card information — all payments are handled directly between buyers and sellers via Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, or cash.
We use your information to operate and improve the ReReads marketplace, facilitate book transactions between buyers and sellers, send you notifications about your orders and messages, and display your public seller profile to potential buyers.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your public seller profile (name, city, and shelf listings) is visible to other users of the marketplace. We may share information when required by law or to protect our rights.
We use Supabase for authentication and data storage, Vercel for hosting, and Google, Facebook, and Apple for optional social login. These services have their own privacy policies that govern their use of your data.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the app: go to Profile → Delete Account. You may also request deletion by emailing lbaturytski@gmail.com, and we will delete your data within 30 days of receiving your request.
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
ReReads is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "last updated" date.
